was, at one time, Santa Barbara County's largest employer. Although it has now closed its doors, a family of former AMCer's continue to stay in touch. This web site was created to facilitate the contact among these former AMC employees and to provide a central location for sharing information. It is our hope that this site will be a living, evolving creation and we encourage every 'family' member to register and be involved.
In addition to the Corporate head quarters in Goleta, Applied Magnetics had many plants worldwide with thousands of employees. We would like to invite these overseas 'family' members to participate as well.
